Corporate Immigration & H-1B

The H-1B Visa Program was set forth in the Immigration & Nationality Act and has been a valuable resource for American companies and a critical program for educated, skilled foreign workers wishing to work in the United States. H1-B employees are given access to work in the U.S. if they have the equivalent of a US Bachelor's Degree and are employed in a "specialty occupation" (such as engineers, mathematicians, accountants and other categories which require a specific skill set and formal education).

H-1B Visas have become more and more difficult to obtain. In 2004, the quota of H-1B Visas decreased dramatically from 195,000 to just 90,000. Since then, the quota has decreased even more and in 2006 the entire quota of visas was exhausted in less than two months.

At Heygood, Orr, Reyes, Pearson & Bartolomei, we believe strongly in the H-1B Visa Program when it's practiced correctly. We've worked with hundreds of immigrants, with a wide variety of legal issues, and we feel strongly about helping those who truly deserve an H-1B Visa but are having difficulty obtaining one. If you personally require an H1B, or if you have an employee prospect that requires an H-1B, please do not hesitate to contact us. Please contact one of our attorneys and find out what your case is worth.
