Canyon Police were arriving on the scene of a major accident where they found 19 year old, Karina Nichole Ayala, dead. Ayala was traveling east bound in her Chevrolet Malibu when the driver of the semi-truck was attempting to make a left turn from the westbound lanes of 60. In the motorist’s attempt to cross over eastbound lanes, he struck Ayala’s Malibu. The collision occurred at 5:40am on October 12, 2021 on Highway 60 and 1st Street. Authorities have said there are no additional injuries or victims.
