Shana Z. of Dallas, Texas, shares her Reyes Browne Reilley experience and level of satisfaction with our staff and customer service while helping her recover from serious damages stemming from a Dallas, TX car crash.
“It’s funny how you think that you’re going to be fine and that you’re just driving to the supermarket or home from work, you’d be okay. And one day I was actually just doing just that.
I was actually going to the bank, and when I was driving, I was like, “Oh, it’s going to be so much fun. We’ll get my money, I’m paying my check, whatever, great.”
Next thing you know I felt this impact. It was an impact that I had never felt before in my life, and I kind of was dumbfounded, because I remember blacking out and thinking that, “Oh, this is it. That’s the end for me.”
And then I remember kind of waking up and looking around and people were saying, “Hey, are you okay? Are you okay?” I heard police sirens, I heard the ambulance, and my heart was pounding. And I remember a gentleman pulling me out of the car and saying, “Are you okay?” And I remember saying,”Yeah, yeah, I think I’m okay,” and then I blacked out again, and I was in an ambulance. And when I had gone to the hospital, they said, “Hey, your car was totaled, you had a really bad accident.” And I said, “Oh my Gosh, thank God I’m alive.”
But then I looked down at my leg and it had swollen like there was a huge football within my leg, and I said, “Oh my Gosh, what happened?” And he said, “The trauma from the accident caused you to get a very large hematoma on your leg.”
My face had been swollen, but it wasn’t injured the way that my leg was. And all I could think of is, “Yes, thank God I’m alive.” But at the same token, I’m like, “My gosh, my leg. Is it going to affect my life.”
And I remember going home, and as the days progressed, it got bigger and bigger, and I had to go to, not one doctor, but five, within I would say the first two weeks of actually having this injury.
I had no car, I had no way of getting to work. And being here in this state and not having a vehicle, you know, it’s very difficult because things are not close to where you can walk. So I was unable to go to work every day. I was out of work for about a month before I was actually able to get a new vehicle. So that was very hard for me.
So I was sitting at home, obviously with this injury comes with depression, because you’re kind of idling, you’re not doing much. And then you are on painkillers and different medication to– if you would say, numb the feeling or area, but those things, that cocktail, makes you feel very strange, too. Because, again, medications and injury together is not a fun mix. So it’s a very, very hard time and then for family and things that you want to do, it makes it difficult to be able to hang out with your family and friends when your state of mind is slightly low at that time.
And actually, a good friend of mine referred me to Reyes, Browne and Reilley. And at first, I was a little skeptical, like, “Oh, I don’t know if I want to do this,” because I just had this crazy accident, and there is already so much stress.
And this particular person said to me, “You need to do this for yourself because you’ve been through so much in this accident, and it’s not fair to you if you don’t do something about it or have someone help you.” So I said, “Okay, let’s do this.”
I got on the phone, I spoke with the gentleman here at the law offices, so polite.
And honestly, they made me feel like they were friends or family. That’s how nice and kind they were.
They answered all my questions here, every time I called and I wasn’t sure of something, there was always someone here to answer any of the questions that I had. And I felt like they actually cared because truthfully speaking, a lot of law firms, I feel, they don’t have that kind of caring – it’s more like a client-and-law-firm kind of a relationship, whereas here it’s like, “Hey, you’re a friend.”
You’re feeling like they actually care about you.
“When you call, I return your call within five minutes. If I don’t pick up the phone–” and Nathan did that actually for me here, and Spencer was amazing. So I just want to say thank you guys at Reyes Browne and Reilley, you guys really have made this experience, not only for me but for my family, so much easier and I’m so, so glad that we chose you all. Thank you.”
