Steve “Dusty” Smith has been an attorney since 1990 and served in the U.S. Army reaching the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He spent six years on active duty in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps as a prosecutor and criminal defense attorney, including a position as legal liaison between the Military and American Embassy in Honduras, where he was nominated for Best Young Attorney in the United States Military.
