DALLAS, TX – Feb. 7, 2025 – Angel Reyes & Associates partnered with Pawssion Project, a non-profit animal shelter in the Philippines, to support its mission of rescuing and rehabilitating abused and neglected animals. Through a firm-wide virtual run and direct volunteer efforts, the firm raised $2,000 and logged over 3,000 miles to aid the shelter’s operations. Additionally, members of the Philippines-based team participated in hands-on volunteer work, assisting with feeding, cleaning, and caring for the animals in Pawssion Project’s facilities.
Community Engagement Through Fundraising and Fitness
Angel Reyes & Associates organized the virtual run, allowing employees to participate globally while tracking their distances through Strava, a GPS-based fitness app. For every kilometer completed, the firm donated $1 to Pawssion Project, up to a cap of 650 kilometers per month.
Donations from the initiative helped provide:
- Food supplies (dog & cat food, rice, milk)
- Medical care (vet bills, medicines, vitamins)
- Shelter maintenance (cleaning supplies, industrial fans)
- Animal care needs (collars, grooming products)
On-Site Volunteering and Direct Impact
Beyond fundraising, Angel Reyes & Associates’ Philippines-based team volunteered at the Pawssion Project’s shelter, providing hands-on support to improve conditions for the rescued animals. Employees participated in tasks such as walking dogs, bathing animals, organizing supplies, and assisting with feeding schedules, directly supporting the shelter’s daily operations.
