She then moved to Texas and earned a second LL.M. from Texas A&M University School of Law in 2023, after deciding to move to the US to be with her now-husband, Michael, with whom she’d had a long-distance relationship since 2015.

Carolina has lived and has family in Mexico, Germany and the US, all countries which she considers “home”. She speaks fluent Spanish, German and English; she loves to travel, sing, bake, watch movies and anime, play badminton, and take walks with her dog.
