Angel Reyes & Associates Voted Second Place in Two 2026 Best of Galveston Categories

Galveston County Readers Name Angel Reyes & Associates and Founder Angel L. Reyes III as Runners-Up

Through a process that saw thousands of readers of The Galveston County Daily News vote on their local favorites, Angel Reyes & Associates was named second place two different categories in the 2026 Best of Galveston Readers’ Choice Awards. We were named runners up in the Best Law Firm category, and our founder and managing partner, Angel L. Reyes III, finished second in the voting for Best Attorney.

The People Who Filled Out the Ballot

Angel Reyes & Associates shared a ballot with many of the island’s favorite restaurants, banks, and shops. “Best Law Firm” was one of more than 200 categories available for Galveston County residents to pick their favorites in the place they live. That’s who decided the winners in this contest, not attorneys on a panel, a selection board, or some other ranking system compiled through arbitrary means.

While those awards also have their value, an award decided solely by the general public and those who we have been able to help or who have interacted with our firm are, in a way, some of the most meaningful.

Earning this achievement took two separate rounds of voting. Initial nominations ran in June, where someone has to write our name down with no list in front of them. That alone means something special: when given a choice, they remembered us and felt it was fitting to put our name down for consideration to be the best in their city.

The top five names in each category then advanced to a final vote that took place through late August. In 2023 readers cast more than 100,000 votes in that round, and the contest’s popularity has continued to hold strong since.

Galveston and the Gulf Coast

Our Galveston office is on Mechanic Street, one of our several offices located along the northern Gulf Coast, with Houston, Pearland, and Port Arthur. The traffic here has its own character: trucks hauling freight to and from the port, island traffic that swells with warm weather, and commuters running up and down I-45.
