Eight Angel Reyes & Associates Attorneys Named to the 2026 Texas Super Lawyers and Rising Stars Lists

We are extremely proud to announce that eight attorneys on the team at Angel Reyes & Associates have been selected to the 2026 Texas Super Lawyers and Rising Stars lists. Partners Angel L. Reyes III, Spencer P. Browne, and Ryan Browne were all named Texas Super Lawyers, while Kristin E. Press, Pooja Tiwari, Jackson Vogel, Olawale Adeogun, and Alex Ivanov were named Texas Rising Stars.

The selections span our Dallas, Austin, Houston, and Fort Worth offices, and includes lawyers at both ends of their respective legal careers. Some of these attorneys have been on this list longer than others have been practicing.

The Super Lawyers Selections

Being selected to Super Lawyers once tells you an attorney had a strong year. Being selected year after year is a testament to something more durable. Each selection has to be earned again from scratch, through the same nominations and the same peer ratings, the following year.

This is Angel Reyes’s 19th selection. He founded Angel Reyes & Associates in Dallas in 1993 after leaving a Wall Street practice, and peer recognition has tracked that work for close to two decades, including his eighth consecutive year on The Best Lawyers in America earlier this year.

Ryan Browne has now been named 15 times and has not missed a year since 2012.

For Spencer Browne, this is a sixth selection. Spencer is also Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and has tried nearly 100 cases to verdict.

With a total of 40 selections between the three of them, this recognition is yet another affirmation of the level of skill, acumen, and mentorship that leads our firm and guides us in how we handle cases. Staying power like that comes from so much more than one good result in one good year. It also requires the lawyers who work across the aisle from them, and the ones who send them their hardest referrals, to have put significant faith in their abilities again and again.

Inside the Selection Process

Recognition in this profession comes in a lot of forms, and each one measures something a little different. What Super Lawyers measures is an individual attorney’s standing amongst their peers.

Super Lawyers is a rating service published by Thomson Reuters. Selections are made once a year on a state by state basis through a process that holds a U.S. patent as an impartial third-party rating system. No more than five percent of the attorneys in a state make the list in a given year.

The three-phase selection process opens with peer nomination. Each year, licensed attorneys across Texas are invited to put forward lawyers whose work they know firsthand. Nominations from outside a candidate’s own firm count for considerably more than nominations from within it, and Super Lawyers monitors nomination patterns to screen out reciprocal or coordinated voting. Being nominated earns an attorney a place in the candidate pool, and nothing beyond that.

Next comes independent research. An attorney-led research staff scores every candidate against 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement, including verdicts and settlements, years of experience, honors and awards, board certifications, position within the law firm, bar activity, pro bono and community service, and published legal writing. The indicators are weighted differently, and the research team also pulls in lawyers nobody nominated whose records surface during the search.

The final phase is peer review. The highest-scoring candidates in each practice area are seated on what Super Lawyers calls a blue ribbon panel and asked to rate the remaining candidates on a five-point scale. Candidates are grouped by firm size, so solo practitioners are measured against solo practitioners rather than against attorneys with far deeper resources behind them.

Researchers verify every candidate’s standing with their applicable licensing authority before anything is published. Attorneys cannot nominate themselves, and no amount of advertising spend puts their name on the list.

Five Rising Stars

We’re also extremely proud that five more of our staff attorneys have been selected to the Rising Stars list. This process runs through the same nomination, research, and peer review process, with one additional requirement to be eligible at all: an attorney has to be 40 years old or younger, or in practice for 10 years or less. By volume, it is the tighter of the two lists. Super Lawyers is capped at five percent of the attorneys in a state, while Rising Stars is capped at just 2.5 percent.

Kristin Press and Pooja Tiwari are both first-time selectees, which is the hardest version of this recognition to earn. A first selection means peers with no prior listing to point to put these names forward on the strength of the work alone.

Olawale Adeogun earns his fourth consecutive selection, Jackson Vogel earns his second, and Alex Ivanov, promoted to partner in February, earns his second as well.

Our firm’s leadership also has some history with the Rising Stars list. Spencer Browne was named a Rising Star seven times early in his career. When he was no longer eligible, he moved onto the Super Lawyers list instead. That is exactly the path these two lists were built to trace, and we have attorneys at every point along it.
