The insurer offered $25,000 and said minor damage meant minor injuries. We took it to a jury, which awarded more than 40 times that.

The insurer said she deserved nothing, then made a last-minute offer. We took it to a jury, and the jury awarded more than triple that.

Attorney Alex Ivanov secured a $359,199.70 jury verdict in Collin County for a Plano client who was hit at the intersection of Parker and Clark in October 2023. She was driving through when the defendant made an unprotected turn in front of her. The jury awarded more than $233,000 for past physical pain and mental anguish alone, and with court costs and interest, the total is expected to surpass $400,000.
The defendant accepted fault, but the insurance company still refused to fairly compensate our client. Its offer barely covered her medical expenses. At trial, the defense claimed she had failed to prove her case and deserved nothing. Just one day before trial, the insurer made its “best and final” offer.
Rather than accept an inadequate settlement, our client stood firm and the case went to trial. On June 9, 2025, Attorney Ivanov presented her case to a jury in the 493rd Judicial District Court in Collin County, and the jury rejected the defense’s attempts to minimize her injuries. The verdict included $116,640.00 for past physical pain, $116,640.00 for past mental anguish, and $125,919.70 for past medical bills. That total was more than three times the insurer’s final pre-trial offer.
